Lovely Freebies

As we approach the final week we are looking for free stuff and ideas to try and reduce our energy saving a little further (because we've nearly blown our budget!). The first things we found were on www.savewatersavemoney.co.uk. Now we know saving water isn't saving energy but saving hot water is (and it is good and eco friendly to keep our water usage down). Anyway, we got a free 4-minute shower timer and free energy saving shower head plus free shower save and tap aerators. All are designed to reduce water usage but also decrease hot water usage therefore reducing energy use (and they are FREE!).

The topsy-turvy weather continues with a lovely sunny and hot day today (we had snow 3 days ago!) so saved energy by using ours and getting out and about (even with Sammy cutting off half my head!).

In the energy saving "zone" we kept the TV and gadgets off and Tom and I got creative model making (we used to do loads when he was younger but all got lost in our gadgets up until the Great Energy Race).
